Earlier, people would see all the comments on a person’s Facebook post chronologically by default. But since then, Facebook has introduced new options for sorting the comments on your posts. One such feature is called comment ranking, it shows you the most relevant comments first. Facebook uses several undisclosed variables to determine what comments are most relevant to you.
Recently, Facebook has made the comment ranking feature a default setting for all pages and popular profiles. The platform has made this decision to help users see the most engaging comments and eliminate hostile and abusive comments.
However, many people think that the comment ranking feature may hide comments that express contrary views and criticisms from them. Luckily, there is a solution if you too think that way. You can simply turn off the comment ranking feature for your profile or page at any time you want. You will learn in this article how to show all the Facebook comments on your posts by default.
How to Show All Facebook Comments by Default
You can follow the below steps to disable the comment ranking feature on your Facebook profile and show all the Facebook comments in chronological order. You can disable the comment ranking feature using either a mobile device (Android or iPhone) or a computer.
On Mobile Device
Step1: Launch the Facebook app and tap the three-lined menu.
Step2: Scroll down and tap the Settings & Privacy option and then select Settings.
Step3: Select the Followers and Public Content under the Audience and Visibility section.
Step4: Tap the Comment Ranking option to turn this feature off.
You have successfully disabled the comment ranking feature on your Facebook profile. Now, other users will see all the comments on your posts by default, and the most recent ones will appear on top.
On Computer
Step1: Visit the Facebook website using a local browser on your computer and log into your account.
Step2: Click on the dropdown arrow that appears in the top-right corner of the screen.
Step3: Click on the Settings & Privacy option and then select Settings.
Step4: Select the Public Posts option displayed on the left sidebar under Settings.
Step5: Locate the Comment Ranking option and click the Edit button next to it.
Step6: Click on the Off option in the box. And you are done, the change has been saved on your Facebook profile.
That only turns off FaceBook’s ranking algorithm. The comments section still shows ‘Top Comments’. What I want is to make ‘All Comments’ the default in my news feed so I don’t have to change it for every post.
