You might also be fond of creating reels on Instagram. But, have you tried sharing them in your stories? Stories are a great way to catch people’s attention.

In this article, you’ll be learning how you can share your reel on your Instagram story. Not only yours, but it’s also possible to share someone’s reel to your story.
How to Share Your or Someone’s Reel to Your Instagram Story
If you feel like a reel is worth sharing, an Instagram story is a perfect option for it.
Follow the below-mentioned steps to re-share your or other people’s reel as an Instagram story.
Step 1: Open the Instagram app.
Step 2: Tap the Reels icon (bottom-middle in the home screen) to browse and find reels that you want to re-share. If you want to re-share your own reels, then go to your profile section and tap the Reels tab.
Step 3: Tap the paper airplane icon in the bottom right corner of the reel you want to share.
Step 4: Select the Add reel to your story option.
Step 5: Now, you’ll be taken to the story editor screen with the reel. You can customize it with filters or stickers if you want to.
Step 6: Tap the Your Story option at the bottom left to share the reel.
Note: Add reel to your story may be unavailable for some users. Instagram is testing a new RESHARE sticker which does the same job of resharing posts and reels to stories.
How to Use the RESHARE Sticker to Share a Reel to Your Story
If the “Add reel to your story” option is missing, you can use the RESHARE sticker to share a reel to your story.
If you want to share someone’s reel, save it to make it easier to find in the RESHARE sticker. To save a reel, tap the three dots in the bottom of the reel, then tap Save.
To share a reel to your story, you need to create a new story and use the RESHARE sticker.
Step 1: Go to your profile and tap the + icon at the top. Then select Story.
Step 2: Once you’re on the story screen, tap the Aa icon.
Step 3: Tap the Sticker icon with a smiley face.
Step 4: Find and select the RESHARE sticker. You can also use the search option to get the sticker quickly.
Step 5: Tapping the sticker opens a new page (as in the screenshot above) that displays your recently viewed posts on the first tab, saved posts on the second tab, and your own posts on the last tab.
Step 6: If you want to share your own reel to your story, go to the last tab and select the reel you want to share. To share someone’s reel, move to the second tab where it shows the posts or reels you’ve said. Select the reel you have saved earlier.
Step 7: Once the reel is selected you can share it to your story by tapping Your Story at the bottom.
RESHARE sticker has made the resharing process more indirect. However, it’s easy to use the new feature though.
