Is Google not showing the recent searches you’ve made? If yes, then you might not have enabled Web & App Activity for your account.
Web & App Activity helps you save your activity while using Google products to give you faster searches, better recommendations, and personalized experiences across Google services.
If this feature is turned off, you might not see the recent searches you’ve made on Google Search. Instead, you will see trending searches below your search bar.
Here’s how to turn on your activity which then tracks your activity online.
How to Turn On Web & App Activity
On Android & iOS
This works on both Android & iPhone.
Step 1: Go to google.com on your browser (Chrome or Safari).
Step 2: Make sure you’re using the right account. If not, switch it by tapping your profile picture in the top-right.
Step 3: Now, tap the three lines in the upper left corner.
Step 4: Select Your data in Search.
Step 5: If the activity is turned off, you’ll see Not Saving to Web & App Activity under Your Search History section. Tap it.
Step 6: Tap Turn on, then confirm your decision.
Google will now keep a record of the sites you visit and the searches you make.
On Computer
Step 1: Open a browser on your pc.
Step 2: Go to google.com.
Step 3: Click Settings in the bottom right corner of the screen, then select Your data in Search.
Step 4: Click Not Saving to Web & App Activity.
Step 5: Click Turn on.
You will now be able to see your recent search history on Google.
