Are you unable to log in to your Snapchat app? If YES, you aren’t alone.
Most Snapchat users are greeted with an error message after they enter their login credentials on the Log In page. Here’s the message users are receving:
“Due to repeated failed attempts or other unusual activity, your access to Snapchat is temporarily disabled. Please try again later. If you are connected to a VPN, retry after disconnecting from it.”
Frustrated users tweeted regarding the login issue tagging the Snapchat Support Team.
At around 8:00 PM on July 12, Snapchat tweeted: “We’re aware of an issue preventing some Snapchatters from logging in. Hang tight, we are looking into it and working on a fix!”
After a few hours Snapchat wrote: “The issue has been fixed! If you’re still having trouble, please let us know. Happy Snapping!”
Although Snapchat claimed the issue to be resolved, users are still reporting that they have been encountered with the same error. Even with the correct login details, Snapchat isn’t letting users in.
If you’re restless to use Snapchat, here’re some fixes that you can try out. However, these don’t guarantee to fix the issue.
How to Fix the Login Error
Method 1) Disconnect VPN
If you’re connected to VPN, disconnect from it and try logging in again. This may remove the error you’re getting.
Method 2) Change Internet Connection
The next possible fix is to switch your internet connection. If you’re connected to Wi-Fi, switch it to mobile data or vice versa.
Method 3) Update Snapchat
Go to Google Play Store or App Store and see if there’s an app update. Sometimes, the app may not function properly if you’re using the older version.
Method 4) Restart your Device
Restarting your phone may help you to get rid of the error message.
Wait For the Snapchat Team to Fix It
If none of the above mentioned tips work, the only option left is to wait for the Snapchat Team to solve the issue.
