A new feature on TikTok called “Repost” lets you re-share other creators’ videos with your followers. This is similar to its counterparts, Instagram’s repost, and Twitter’s retweet features. However, there are crucial differences between them.
Your reposted videos do not appear on your TikTok feed. Additionally, only those users who follow you and whom you follow back will see your reposted videos.
Repost Button Not Showing On TikTok?
TikTok began rolling out the repost feature at the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022. Note that you will not be able to use the feature if TikTok has not rolled it out for your geo-location. If that is the case, your only option is to wait until TikTok makes the feature available for all users worldwide.
You can increase your odds of getting the repost button by updating your TikTok app to the latest version.
How to Repost A TikTok Video
It is worth noting that you cannot repost all the videos you come across on TikTok. You can only repost videos that appear in your ‘For You’ section. The repost button will not appear on videos that you find anywhere else on TikTok.
Step 1: Launch TikTok and head into your ‘For You’ feed.
Step 2: Tap the share icon in the bottom-right of the video you want to repost.
Step 3: Select the Repost icon. It will appear as a yellow button with two white arrows pointing up and down.
Step 4: Write a message that will appear with the reposted video.
Congratulations, you have successfully reposted the TikTok video. Everyone who follows you and whom you follow back will now see your reposted video in their ‘For You’ feeds.
