Thankfully, it is as easy to unblock a person on Messenger as blocking them. We will explain in this article how you can unblock somebody on Facebook Messenger – using either the Messenger mobile app or the desktop.
How to Unblock Someone On Messenger App
Step 1: Open the chat with the person you’d like to unblock.
Step 2: Tap UNBLOCK.
Step 3: Select Unblock messages and calls. Confirm it by tapping UNBLOCK again.
It’s not always possible to remember who you have blocked. Here’s how you can see the list of blocked people and unblock them if you want.
Step 1: Launch the Messenger app on your device.
Step 2: Tap your profile picture in the top left corner of the Chat screen.
Step 3: Select the Privacy option from the menu.
Step 4: Tap Blocked accounts.
Step 5: Select the name of the person you wish to unblock.
Step 6: Tap the “Unblock messages and calls” option. A pop-up will appear asking for confirmation. Tap UNBLOCK to save the changes made.
How to Unblock Someone On Facebook Messenger On Desktop
Step 1: Visit messenger.com using your computer’s browser and log in with your Facebook credentials.
Step 2: Click the three small dots icon that appears next to Chats. Then, select Preferences.
Step 3: Select Manage blocking.
Step 4: Scroll down to locate Block messages. Then, click the Unblock option besides the name of the person you wish to unblock.
And you are done, the person has been unblocked.
