On mobile device
Step1: Launch the Snapchat app and tap on your avatar in the top-left corner of the screen.
Step2: Tap the cog icon in the top-right of the screen.
Step3: Scroll down and select the ‘I Need Help’ option under the Support section.
Step4: Enter Delete My Account in the search bar and select the Delete My Account option from the search results.
Step5: Tap Accounts Portal below the text ‘How to Delete Your Snapchat Account.’
Step6: Type in your username or email ID associated with the Snapchat account and password to confirm your decision to delete your Snapchat account.
You have successfully confirmed the deletion of your Snapchat account. However, it is worth noting that your account will not get deleted instantly. Snapchat will wait for 30 days after you have confirmed your decision to delete your account before it permanently deletes your account.
If you log into your account within 30 days, Snapchat will reactivate your account. On the other hand, the account will automatically get deleted after 30 days if you do not access it during that time.
