While creating a Facebook account, it asks you to enter your gender. It’s possible you might have selected the wrong gender. Can you change it now?
The answer is YES. Facebook allows you to edit your gender even after your account creation.
Here’s how you can change your gender using the Facebook mobile app and browser.
How to Change Gender On Facebook App
This works on both Android & iPhone.
Step 1: Launch the Facebook app on your mobile device.
Step 2: Tap the three lines in the top-right corner of the screen on Android. If you’re using iPhone, it will be at the bottom right labeled as Menu.
Step 3: Tap your name at the top.
Step 4: Tap See Your About Info.
Step 5: Scroll down to Basic info, then tap Edit next to it.
You can now choose between Male or Female. Then tap Save at the bottom.
If your gender is none of these, tap Custom. Then, type the first few letters and choose the appropriate gender that represents you. You can even select more than one option.
Tap Save to accept the changes you’ve made.

How to Edit Gender On Facebook Web (Computer)
Step 1: Go to facebook.com on your computer browser and log in to your account if you aren’t already logged in.
Step 2: Click your profile picture in the top-left corner of the screen below the Facebook logo.
Step 3: Go to the About tab next to Posts, then select Contact and basic info.
Step 4: Under the Basic info section, tap the pencil icon next to Gender.
Step 5: Now, click the dropdown option and select Male or Female.
If you do not belong to this category, select Custom. Then choose your appropriate gender from the displayed options and specify the pronoun you’d like to use. Once you’ve selected the right one, click Save.
