How to Stop Suggested For You On Facebook 2022

Facebook shows you certain posts in your feed from pages and groups you do not follow. These posts are categorized as suggested posts and can be photos, videos, and articles. Facebook has introduced this feature to help you discover new things that you would like to see.

Another reason for introducing the feature is to increase the time users spend on the platform. Suggested posts on Facebook are not random, they are selected by analyzing your previous activities on Facebook. However, the algorithms used to choose suggested posts may not be always perfect and show you posts that you may find annoying.

You might have noticed that Facebook has been promoting Instagram’s content with the label “Suggested for you“.

These contents are purely from Instagram and not shared from Facebook accounts. Mostly Instagram Reels are suggested to users. As they appear frequently in your feed, you might be annoyed seeing them multiple times.

Let’s see if there’s a way to get rid of this.

Can You Turn Off Suggested Posts On Facebook?

Unfortunately, Facebook does not offer its users an option to disable the ‘Suggested for you’ feature. But, you can still hide specific suggested posts from your feed. Doing so will influence the types of suggested posts you see on Facebook in the future.

How to Turn OFF Suggested For You On Facebook

Here is a quick guide that will show you how to hide a specific post from your feed and control the future suggested posts you see on Facebook.

Step 1: Launch the Facebook app and locate the specific suggested post in your feed that you want to remove.

Step 2: Tap the three small dots next to Suggested for you.

Step 3: Tap Hide post to remove it from your feed.

This will help you avoid seeing similar types of posts on Facebook.

If you’re concerned about the posts being violent or abusive, you can report them by tapping “Report post” in step 3.

Though you can’t remove Suggested for you completely, you can control what appears on your feed with the method explained above.
