How to Remove Phone Number from Twitter
This can be done using both the mobile application and the web version of Twitter. All of them are discussed below.
Using Mobile Application
This works on both Android & iPhone.
- Open the Twitter application on your device.
- Once you’re on the home screen, tap your profile icon in the top-left corner.
- Scroll below and tap Settings and privacy.
- Tap Your account.
- Select Account information.
- Tap Phone.
- Now, it will display you three options – Update phone number, Delete phone number & Cancel.
- Tap Delete phone number.
- Confirm the deletion by tapping Delete.
Your phone number will be removed from your account and you’ll no longer receive notifications from Twitter.
Using Mobile Browser
- Log in to your account on your browser.
- Tap your profile icon in the top-left corner.
- Tap Settings and privacy.
- Tap Your account.
- Select Account information.
- Now, it will ask you to confirm your account. Enter your Twitter password and tap Confirm.
- Tap your Phone number and press Delete phone number.
- A message box will appear to confirm the deletion. Tap Delete.
Using Web Version on a PC or a Laptop
- Log in to your account on your browser.
- Click More on the left panel.
- Click Settings and privacy.
- Click Your account and then Account information.
- Enter your password to verify your account.
- Click on Phone and select Delete phone number.
