Link History Not Showing On Instagram: See The Links You’ve Clicked [2022]

We often click on links on someone’s bio while browsing our Instagram feeds or links shared in Direct Messages or Instagram Story.

The Instagram app has a built-in web browser to visit such links. Therefore, you can’t access the history of all the links you have visited on the Instagram app from your native web browser. This is true in the case of both Android and iPhone devices.

Fortunately, Instagram app store the history of all of your visited links. This is to enable us to revisit the links if we want to.

On the Instagram app, you can see all the links you have ever clicked on in the section called “Your activity”. Besides enabling you to view and revisit all of your previously clicked links, the app also allows its users to hide some or all links from the history.

Step 1: Tap the Instagram app icon on your iPhone or Android device to launch the app.

Step 2: Now, tap your display profile picture to access your profile page. Your display picture will be at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Step 3: While you are in the profile section, tap the three-line menu icon in the top-right corner.

Step 4: After taping the menu icon, you will see several options. Select the option named “Your activity”.

Step 5: Select Links you’ve visited.

You will now see all the links you have ever visited on Instagram. Your visited links will appear in chronological sequence.

You will also be able to view the thumbnails, URLs, titles, and dates of these links. You can revisit any of these links by tapping them.

Instagram also allows you to remove the links you have clicked. This can be useful if you don’t want to clutter the Links Page with unwanted links.

If you are using an Android device, long-press the link and tap Hide. On iOS, swipe left the link, then tap Hide.

To clear the entire history of links, tap Hide History, then select Hide. This will remove all the links from this page.

Note: Once the links are hidden, they will be deleted permanently and you can’t recover them. Though it says ‘Hide’, there’s no option to unhide the links back again.

The short answer is Yes. Unlike the Instagram app, the Instagram web version on desktop uses your native internet browser to open links. Therefore, you can view and revisit all of your visited links on the Instagram desktop by seeing the history of your internet browser.

However, the links are not arranged in an organized manner as in the Instagram app. You need to search manually from your browser’s history to find the links you’ve clicked on the Instagram web.
