How to Fix “No Verified UPI Present” in WazirX

You might have encountered an error “No Verified UPI Present” in your WazirX account while you are making a deposit.

Don’t worry, you are not the only one who gets this type of error. Few days back, I was trying to deposit some amount of money in my WazirX account but the transaction was declined saying “No verified UPI present”.

The good news is that I was able to solve this issue. So, in this blog post, I will be sharing with you how the error was being resolved.

Solution to “Not Verified UPI Present”

If you are new to WazirX, you cannot buy cryptocurrencies until and unless you have added the Payment method.

If you click on BUY option in any of the crypto, it will first ask you to add the Payment Option.

After you have added the payment option, for example, “UPI” and go to buy the cryptocurrency, it may give you an error “No Verified UPI Present“.

If this is the case with you, the error could be due to:

  • You have recently added a Payment Method like UPI.
  • You have entered the wrong details while adding the payment method.

If you have recently added UPI as a Payment Option, you need to wait for a while to get your UPI ID verified by WazirX Team.

In my case, it took me around 1 hour to get verified. So, if you are getting the same error, you need to wait for sometime and the issue will be resolved itself.

To check the status of UPI ID verification just follow the process below:

  1. Open the WazirX application and click on the Account Settings at the top-left corner
  2. Tap on Banking & Payment Options
  3. Now, it will list you two sections – Bank Account & UPI.
  4. Go to the tab UPI and check whether the verification is pending or verified.

If UPI ID is verified, it will be displayed as “VERIFIED”, if not it will show “PENDING”.

The other cause of the error may be “Invalid UPI ID” or “Invalid Bank Details” if you have chosen a bank account as a payment option.

If this is the case, you can just remove the payment option and re-add it again with the correct details. You can remove the payment option using the REMOVE button as shown in the image above.

Also make sure that the name on your WazirX Account and Bank Account are same.
