How to Like A Story On Instagram 2022

“Instagram users can now like a story on Instagram”. Yes, you heard it right.

You might have been eagerly waiting for the feature and finally, it has become a reality.

On 14th 2022, Instagram’s CEO Adam Mosseri took to Twitter to announce the new feature, stating: “Starting to roll out today, you can now send some love by liking people’s stories without sending a DM. Likes on stories are private and do not have counts. Rather, they appear as hearts next to people’s handles in your Stories view sheet.”

Here’s how to like an Instagram story.

How to Like an Instagram Story

First of all, make sure you’re using the latest version of the Instagram app.

Step 1: Open an Instagram story.

Step 2: Tap the heart icon at the bottom of the story. The icon will be between the Send message box and the paper airplane icon.

Note: The feature is recently rolled out and is not available in all the regions as of now. If you can’t see the heart icon on someone’s story, the feature is unavailable in your region yet.

However, Instagram will roll out the feature soon worldwide to all users.

How to See Story Likes On Instagram

Whenever someone likes your story, it will not appear in your DM.

To view story likes, go to your story viewers list by tapping Seen by on your story that appears in the bottom left of the story. If someone has liked your story, a heart will appear next to their profile on the Viewers List. Also, likes on Story are private and do not have counts.

Unlike Instagram posts, whenever you like someone’s story, the other person isn’t notified.
