Your age plays an important role in determining what you can see and do on TikTok. Like several other social media platforms, TikTok does not allow users below 13 years to create an account.
TikTok suggests you content according to your age. This restriction is to prevent younger audiences from seeing illicit content or getting spammed on the platform.
TikTok also has other settings that limit your experience on the platform if you are below a certain age. For instance, all accounts below the age of 16 are set as private by default.
Younger Users are not allowed to share videos, gain followers, comment on videos, send messages, share personal info, and receive notifications after their bedtime.
If you want to lift the restriction and have full experience on TikTok, you might want to change your age. But, is that even possible?

Can You Change Your Age On TikTok?
TikTok does not offer you a direct option to change your age.
You need to contact the customer support team and ask them to update your date of birth. You can do this in two ways, you can either email them at infocontact@tiktok.com, or you can use the “Report a problem” feature in the app’s settings.
Here’s how to report an issue to TikTok:
Step 1: Launch the TikTok app on your device and tap the Profile icon in the bottom-right of the interface.
Step 2: Tap the three-lined menu icon in the top-right of the screen to open the Settings and privacy page.
Step 3: Locate the “Report a problem” option and tap it. The option will appear under the SUPPORT section.
Step 4: Tap the “Account and Profile” option, then select Editing Profile.
Step 5: Tap “Other”, then choose “Need more help?”.
Step 6: Now, you will see a feedback form that you can use for requesting TikTok to correct your date of birth on your account.
TikTok customer support will soon respond to you via the email linked with your account. They will likely ask for verification of your date of birth. You need to give a government-issued identification to verify your identity and date of birth before you can change your age on TikTok. After you have completed the procedure, your age is likely to be updated on TikTok.
Note: It is not guaranteed that TikTok will change your birthday.
If your query isn’t resolved after contacting the support team, the only option left out is to create a new TikTok account with the correct date of birth.
